The
9th Annual Canadian National Sale and Futurity is only 10
days away. So far, we have 243 futurity entries, representing
66 herdsires and 70 farms. They will be competing for
approx $70,000 in prize money awarded by our
judges, Kathy Klay from the US and Rick Hodgson from
Australia.
This will be our 2nd year in the Agricentre
East, just south of the Stockman's arena. There is plenty of
parking and access to the stalling area on the east and south
sides. Trailer parking is on the south side and the main
entrance is on the north side.
The Herdsire Calcutta is
now a part of the CNASF weekend. Prior to the start of the
Futurity, we are giving all participants a chance to bet on
who they think will be the Herdsire of our Colour Champions
and Supreme Champion. Some of the bets will be in the form of
a Silent Auction and some will be available in blind
envelopes. Look for more info at the Welcome Booth.
The
BEST HANDLE Class, decided by a blind-folded judge, is back
for a third year!! It should be fun.
Please note:
All alpacas entered in the futurity MUST have their CLAA
registration complete by Show date. The barn will be open
for animals on Thursday afternoon and can arrive as late as
Friday afternoon at 3:00pm |
