With the mission statement in mind we want to let you know that we will be organizing an online auction to be held in conjunction with the CNASF in Camrose, AB. Bidding will close April 6, 2024 at 7pm MST. The auction is open to CLAA registered females and males. The consignment fee will be $50 Canadian dollars, this will cover penning, advertising, and other expenses. If your animal sells it will be an additional $200 Canadian Dollars.

How the Online Auction Sale Works

You will consign your alpaca. Each farm will put a minimum reserve price of $3000.00 on their animal. The selection committee will evaluate each animal based on the alpacas quality and perceived market interest in relation to the Consignor's animal reserve price and will accept 12-20 alpacas in the auction. It will be a timed based online auction so once the time starts bidding will commence with bidding increasing in increments of $50.00.

Once the time is up the person with the highest bid wins the animal and the bid amount is owed to the consignor of that animal.

The CNASF website will be very important in showcasing our alpacas to the world – our marketing team will drive the potential buyers to the website. We also will make printable PDF sheets for each consigned animal which will be accessible from the CNASF website.

3 Simple Steps to consign an alpaca:

1. Fill in the consignment form online by February 29, 2024.

   When filling in the consignment from please make sure you have the following EXCELLENT pictures file size between 500kb and 2MB available (do not crop your photo's)

   1. Front legs
   2. Head
   3. Left profile
   4. Right profile
   5. Rear legs
   6. Fleece
   7. Cria pic
   8. Picture of its bite
   9. Testicles for males
   
   

   PDF copies of

   1. CLAA registration paper
   2. ARI registration paper (if applicable)
   3. PDF copy of micron
   
   

   The selection committee will have the Auction alpacas selected by January 31, 2023 – at this time if your alpaca is selected, you will be contacted by email with payment instructions. Then the marketing shall begin.

2. A short video of your alpaca walking to you and away from you that will be used on website - please do not talk - emailed to us by February 29, 2024.
